  • What should I wear to sessions?
All sessions are “clothes-on” If the relevant areas aren’t accessible when needed, I am a massage therapist, and therefore, I know how to work a sheet to respect modesty. I recommend wearing workout-type clothes… loose fitting and comfortable. Avoid layers and above all, NO DENIM PLEASE! Inflexible materials, such as this, are hard on a manual therapist’s hands. Shorts and a T-shirt, or similar, are usually best. It’s also a good idea to avoid lotions or any other products that would make the skin slippery. They make ART® more difficult to perform comfortably and effectively.
  • How long are sessions?
Sessions are about 30 minutes long. I generally stop making corrections at around the 20 minute mark, but often there are still exercises / stretches to go over, scheduling to do, etc. This applies to both regular and first-time appointments. Barring other arrangements being made, your credit card on le will be charged.
  • How long does it take to see results?
For all modalities, progress is usually noticeable after the very rst visit, though for some individuals, it can take as many as three visits to notice signicant results. Generally speaking, the older the issue, the longer it will take to resolve. Some issues simply take time. As I often tell my clients, it took you a while to get your body like this, expect it to take a while to get it back to normal.
  • Do you accept insurance?
I don’t accept insurance directly, though I will happily provide you with an invoice in the style of your choosing for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. My work is generally accepted by health savings accounts, exible spending accounts, and health insurance carriers who cover massage therapy (performed by a massage therapist). Sometimes a prescription from a physician is required to get massage therapy covered by insurance.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time, or simply fail to show up to your appointment, that session must be paid for in full.
